Couples and Family Therapy

Even the strongest relationships have chapters where the pages feel stuck.

Conflict, distance, and misunderstanding aren't always signs that your love is failing. They are often signals that your relationship is ready to evolve. We help you break the cycles of arguments and silence and master the skill of repair, building a connection that is safer, deeper, and more resilient than before.

Conflict is inevitable. Staying disconnected doesn’t have to be.

Underneath the frustration, most of us are asking the same questions: Do you see me? Do I matter to you? Can I trust you to be there?

When we don't know how to answer those questions safely, we fall into patterns—shutting down, lashing out, or walking on eggshells. For many of us, these patterns are deepened by cultural differences, generational gaps, or the pressure of navigating life in a new context.

We’re not here to teach surface-level "communication tricks." We’re here to help you bridge the gap between your current reality and what you truly want. We guide you to slow down, understand the emotional patterns driving the conflict, and learn the language of repair so you can stop fighting against each other and start fighting for the relationship.

Come as you are—
frustrated, hopeful, or unsure.

We approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and deep respect for each partner or family member’s experience. We create a nonjudgmental space where all parties can feel heard and understood—even if it’s been a long time since that’s happened.

The Partnership

Couples Therapy

Rebuilding trust and intimacy.

The Struggle: You might feel more like roommates than partners, stuck in the same argument on repeat, or struggling to connect even when you’re in the same room.

The Work: We help you break the cycle of "pursue and withdraw." Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we help you uncover the softer emotions beneath the anger and defensiveness, creating a secure bond where vulnerability is met with care, not criticism.

The Generations

Family Therapy

Bridging the gap between worlds.

The Struggle: Navigating the tension between immigrant parents and first-gen children, or feeling like you have to translate your values to be understood by your own family.

The Work: We act as cultural mediators. We help you navigate the friction between familismo and individual boundaries, finding ways to honor your family’s legacy while creating space for your own growth and autonomy.

The Evolution

Culture Shift

Parenting differently than you were parented.

The Struggle: Wanting to build a home with a culture of emotional safety, even if that wasn't modeled for you growing up.

The Work: We help you learn the skills your parents may not have had access to. We teach you how to repair ruptures with your own children or partners, ensuring that the legacy you pass down is one of connection, not silence.

How we hold space for your relationship.

Emotionally Focused

We help you move from defensiveness and blame to understanding and closeness by identifying what’s really happening underneath the conflict.

Culturally Responsive

We recognize how culture, gender roles, family values, and lived experience shape how you love, argue, and connect. Therapy honors your story and cultural context.

Collaborative & Balanced

We’re not here to take sides—we’re here to help both of you feel seen and supported.

Inclusive & Affirming

We welcome all couples, including LGBTQIA+ partners, interracial and intercultural relationships, and nontraditional relationship structures.

Repair at the root

Changing the way we love.

Every couple argues. Siblings fight. Our parents drive us
up the wall. Even with the people we love, conflict is normal. What matters is whether you can turn toward each other afterward — to repair, reconnect, and feel safe again.

We are redefining relationship health by moving beyond "conflict resolution" to the deeper work of repair, with an understanding of how identity, culture, generational differences, and life circumstances shape how this happens. We see the full picture and provide the right tools to turn rupture into an opportunity for radical closeness.

Tools to build a secure bond.

Relationship work requires specific skills, not just good intentions. We use research-backed methods to help you transform your connection.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Our primary approach. EFT helps you identify the negative cycle you get caught in and rebuild the emotional safety that makes love last. It’s not about "who is right"—it’s about helping you reach for each other and find a secure response.

Attachment-Based & Trauma-Informed

We look at the history you bring into the room. We help you understand how past wounds or family patterns shape your current reactions, moving from reactivity to deep understanding.

Cultural Mediation

We hold space for the unique pressures of bicultural relationships and families, helping you translate values and expectations so everyone feels heard.
