(She/Her/Ella)Dr. Narolyn Mendez
Clinical Supervisor
Meet Dr. Narolyn
As an Afro-Latina bilingual clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience and a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journeys of healing, growth, and empowerment.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, I create a culturally attuned, compassionate space where clients can explore and address the complexities of their identities and life experiences.
I am also deeply committed to social justice and systemic change. I co-authored Microintervention Strategies: What You Can Do to Disarm and Dismantle Individual and Systemic Racism and Bias, and I am a co-founder of Nascent Consulting. Through Nascent Consulting, we work with organizations to provide tools to navigate and challenge racism, bias, and systemic inequities, while also incorporating mental health strategies into organizational practices to foster a more inclusive, supportive environment for all members.
Outside of my clinical work, I am passionate about immersing myself into different cultures through travel, continually expanding my expertise to better serve my clients and promote overall well-being.
SpecializationsI specialize in Latinx populations, women’s mental health—including reproductive health, fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum—health psychology, racial identity and trauma, and helping women of color navigate high-powered careers while balancing personal aspects of their lives.
