A Latina-owned collective for healing, growth, and community.
Who We Are
Vida Sana Psychology & Wellness is a fully Latina-owned and operated practice, rooted in the belief that healing is not about “fixing” what’s wrong with you—it’s about learning to recognize and strengthen what has always been within you. We understand that every person’s healing process is different. What you need may look nothing like what the person next to you needs—and that’s exactly how it should be.
Our role is not to dictate your journey, but to guide you in discovering it. Healing means learning that while we can’t control every emotion, we can build the tools to keep those emotions from controlling our lives. It’s not always neat or linear—healing can be messy, imperfect, and deeply human. At Vida Sana, we would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.
Our story began at Teachers College, Columbia University, where our relationships as classmates, colleagues, and friends grew into a shared vision for what therapy could look like when rooted in equity, cultural responsiveness, and community. Out of those conversations, Vida Sana was born—not just as a practice, but as a collective dedicated to reimagining healing spaces for communities of color.
Our approach combines culturally responsive, evidence-based care with a commitment to social justice. We are especially dedicated to creating a therapeutic space where women of color, men of color, and all people from marginalized communities feel seen, supported, and valued. Each of our clinicians understands the realities of navigating race, gender, culture, and identity, while also celebrating the strength and beauty that come from community.
Vida Sana is also a training ground for the next generation of clinicians. We are committed to mentoring limited permit clinicians (LPs) and early-career therapists in delivering equitable, affirming treatment—ensuring that our work not only serves clients today, but also shapes a more inclusive and sustainable future for mental health care.
Who We Serve
At Vida Sana, we work with adolescents (15+), college students, and adults who are navigating a wide range of challenges. Many of our clients come to us because they are ambitious, hardworking, and driven—but find themselves overwhelmed, stuck in cycles of self-criticism, or carrying the weight of cultural, family, and societal expectations.
These are just some of the folks we often support:
Women and men of color, as well as other BIPOC communities, seeking a therapist who truly understands the realities of race, culture, and identity
First-generation college students balancing school, family, and identity transitions
Adults managing ADHD and the challenges that come with it, including perfectionism, anxiety, substance use, and burnout
Individuals navigating immigration and acculturation stressors
People experiencing OCD, generalized anxiety, or high-functioning depression
We are committed to serving diverse identities across race, gender, sexuality, religion, and culture. Bilingual (Spanish) therapy and coaching are available with any clinician on our team, ensuring language never has to be a barrier to care.
What We Specialize In
Each clinician at Vida Sana Psychology & Wellness brings unique training and expertise. Our mission is not to be everything to everyone, but to ensure you receive the most effective and ethical care for your specific needs. That’s why we match you with a therapist whose specialty aligns closely with the concerns you’re bringing into therapy.
While we can support a wide range of challenges, we believe specializing allows us to provide care that is deep, intentional, and effective. This means you get focused support from someone who has invested time, training, and heart into working with the issues you’re facing.
If, during a consultation, we realize we may not be the best fit for you, we’ll never leave you without options for support. A member of our team will provide trusted referrals within 2 business days so you can get connected to the right kind of care as quickly as possible.
